Is My Platy Having Fry?

My platy was pretty big today, she had a huge black gravid spot, she looked squared off and looked round from the back and top, so i put her in a breeding box and switched the aquarium lights off to calm her down and i left the house for a bit. but when i came back a few hours later she was skinny, no gravid spot and there were no fry. but now she has a gravid spot again and looks bigger than she did when i came home, this is only after like 3 hours. whats going on?!

Maybe they're not ready yet. it may take 24 hours for her to give birth to them. And Yes, she is ready and minute now. She may isolate herself and hide.
