Hey guys,
I wondered if I could get some advice on whether this fish is pregnant? She’s was in an all female tank but was pregnant upon purchase (apparently!!) and has had 2 lots of fry already! I had to rehome one female because it killed my other female and started on her but I have plenty of fry to add to the tank so she’s not alone. I’ve had to order a much bigger tank as we are currently on 23 baby fry! To me it looks like she is and is close to giving birth but I’m a first time fish owner so have absolutely no idea. She has grown quite the stomach in the last 10 days!
I noticed she has this while dot under her anal fin which wasn’t there before so I’m wondering if this is a sign?
Do I isolate her in the breeding box? My new tank doesn’t arrive until the end of the month and I will be rehoming a lot of the fry when they are old enough to sex. Luckily with each set being a few weeks apart they can leave in stages
