I have a 180L tank (47 US Gallon) and one day I noticed 2 small baby fish (Molly's) swimming about. Sadly one died, but a bought a small tank (which floats in my big tank) to put the small molly in until it's to grow big enough to mix with the other fsh.

Anyway I have noticed one of my other female Molly's is rather larg underneath, could this be pregnant too?

Also I do a weekly 20% water change which includes cleaning the top layer of the gravel for old food and poo :) how do I know I'm not sucking up fish eggs? What do they look like and do they drop these just any where?

Sory for all these questions

Do you have male Mollies in the tank too? Or just females? Because if you have males, she is definitely pregnant. :p

It does sound like she's pregnant though. Can you see a gravid spot? It should be a darkish patch near her anal fin. If you can't though, don't worry. Not all colors allow you to see the gravid spot.

And you aren't sucking up fish eggs...because Mollies are Livebearers. They give birth to fully-formed live babies. However, sometimes you have to worry about sucking up fry, but you will usually find them more in the plants. Do you syphon into a bucket? If you do, you can just do a check to see if anything is moving.

Good luck with your fry! :D
