Is My Mickey Mouse Platy Prenant?

my wwhie mickey mouse platy named Minnie looks pregnant but she has two pink spots on both side of her belly with black specs she looks fat if she is pregnant when is she due i got her from the petstore pregant she looks 2 weeks prgnant and she stays by the filter whats wrong with her? is she ready to drop or is she just being shy and protective of her little belly or what and she is isolated in her own 1 gal tank away from my other 3 guppies and platy

We really need some more information from you so we can help you and your little fishy out.

Have you got a cycled filter (that is one that has good bacteria growing in it) in your platies tank?

Do you have a water testing kit that you can use and post up the results? Of if not, can you get your pet shop/fish store to test it for you (but get them to write the results down for you; don't just let them say, "it's fine" or whatever!)

Are there some plants or hiding places for her, as most fish like to hide away before they give birth?

well i got her and i saw other fish like nipping at her near he anal fin so i put her in a lone tank by her self which i cycles for a week but i dont have testing kits all my fish are all right with room temp. but rite now Minnie likes to be near the filter(idk y? lol) now i just wanna know if she is or not if so when will she deliver because i need to no because i have a pregnant guppy and i mite have another one soon so ill have fry up to my eye balls lol

an she has a small rock she likes to hide behind at some points ill take some sample water to petsmart tomorrow so they can test it snd i need a filter cover any ideas?

The best way to tell on a platy is by looking at her overall shape. If she is getting squarish, she is most likely pregnant. Below is a pic of a platy that is just about to drop her fry.

mine looks sorta smaller than tht but she looks almost like tht(well stomachly) but she hides by the filter which freaks me out when lurks in the dark lol but she isnt stress she just sits there and i have no where to put my othe prego fish so i hope she has them soon
