Is my guppy pregnant?

I’m new to all of this and wanted to ask if you could help me by letting me know is my yellow guppy pregnant
I got them 3 days ago and there wasn’t any marks on her and today this black spot also known as a Gravid appeared ( I have gone crazy researching on YouTube/Google) and if so what do I do from now and how can I tell how far she is

Thats not a guppy. That's a platy. In the picture, it almost looks like a male...

Too many employees of pet shops have no real clue and/or are working on commission. Too many will tell you anything to get a sale or just don't have the knowledge to know what they are talking about.

I have to admit to being a bit radical when it comes to such employees. Do as you feel comfortable but I would return the fish and demand to speak to a manager raising a fuss.

I don't have any experience with platys but I'd say no as to pregnancy. LOL! If it were a female guppy I'd say yes as to pregnancy as they always are.

I agree it’s a platy, and it’s male. Pet shop employees have often next to no knowledge about fish keeping apart from fish live in water. Not your fault, but now you know!

The red fish behind the yellow one in the photo is also a platy.
