is my guppy pregnant or just fat?

I have this female guppy and her belly is huge, I swear any second shes going to pop but I've read they get a black gravid spot. She does have one but its more like a dark gold color then black. Does her gravid spot have to be black? can it be a lighter color? Thanks!!! I also have a male in with her.

Mines had a spot for over a week and hasnt popped. Someone said it has to have a Black one otherwise she aint ready yet.

I have three preg females at the min myself, but one was like yours!!! it was very fat and ya thought it was gonna pop at any min, but its stomach wasn't that black it was mostly a gold colour. But probably what your find is that after a few days you'll notice that its stomach might get blacker and blacker. Somebody correct me if im wrong but im just going by my past with guppys!!

what i've found with my pregnant guppy is that the gravid spot has to be black and the out side skin has red vains.... when i noticed that then i transfered her over to the 5 gallon tank and the next day she dropped 60 fry.
