Is my guppy female actually a female swordtail?

Hello. I have recently purchased “female guppy” from LFS. I was told it is a guppy but I have some concerns that it could not be. One thing is that the male guppy has been trying to breed with her for 3 days now and nothing. Next is that another male guppy in the tank mysteriously has a shorter tail fin as thought someone has been nipping him. If this is the case I will return her and tell the LFS about this. Has anyone else dealt with this scenario before? FYI I am fairly new to the hobby

We'd need a photo.

I have seen male guppies try to mate with snails and rocks. And female swords will nip at guppy tails sometimes. There isn't enough info to say.

100% a guppy.

They won't necessarily let any male mate with them if they don't want that male.
