Is my fish sick?

I have a mixed molly, (peachy colour) and it has a translucent scales on top of its head with dark spots. the fin seemes to have retracted up to where the scale isn't translucent. I have a ten gallon tank with another molly three tetra and five platies. I don't know what to do. She seems to be labouring in breathing and doesn't move as fast or as active as she used to be. help.

sorry your fish is sick. how often do you do water changes and how much at a time? it may be your tank is a bit overcrowded. do you test the water for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph. if you can get those then someone might be able to help more. Do more frequent water changes in case its ammonia burns. personally i would add a bit of salt but as you have tetras might not be good idea. hope someone with more experience of this can help.

i all way thoulth that tetras have to stay as a group minimum of 5
