do you think my corry is lonely? He has started shoaling with my rummynose tetras; identity crisis?

His friend was eaten by my large speedy snail, subsequently named "Button" after Jenson, previous to this incident.

cories need grups of at least five preferably 6

Yes, I reckon your singleton cory has probably learnt the words to the classic "Police" song backwards...

Treat him/her to an identity renaissance, go and purchase another five of the same species a.s.a.p!

Give the forum a pic if you are unsure of the species, as there are something daft like 40+ known species and some look very similar eg. sterbai are often misold as haraldschultzi.

Ah, your cory's identity is very critical then, having just seen your new post stating he/she is a sterbai! Are you sure? 100% sure it is not a haaldschulltzi?

Well im pretty certain hese a sterbai corry, however i am unable to take a picture of him as hese swimming with his new found friends; one thing he isnt though is a tetra...

Hi danb :)

Your cory should have companions of the same species. Here's a link to a video of them in their natural habitat. As you will see, it's not normal for them to be alone.

This is a C. haraldschultzi

This is a similar picture of a C. sterbai

Notice the difference in the shape of their noses. The C. sterbai is also darker colored with light markings while the C. haraldschultzi is light colored with dark markings.
