I accidently turned the heat up on my tank and killed all 4 of my fish and I'm wondering if my corals may also be dead, or dying.

The coral looks alright it's got a little bit of a white coating on it but it's not decaying. I talked to someone tonight and they said that the white coating means it's probably dying.

My water is perfectly clear, my PH, Amonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate levels all appear good.

I'll see if I can get some pictures to give you a better idea of what is going on.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

How hot did it get?

Corals are for the most part more fragile than fish, so yeah, you probably will lose them.

But on the other hand, they can make amazing comebacks sometimes.

uh about 100 degrees :( yeah i know i really ****** up! Fingers are crossed for an amazing come back, but not bloody likely.

I just checked my Nitrate level and it's very high about 40 - 80ppm. Everything else checked out good. PH 8.2, Amonia 0, nitrite 0. Does a high nitrate level indicate something is dying?

Let me know what you think I should do!

thanks :byebye:

I've got a lobster, a couple sea cucumbers, and a couple star fish that seem to be doing alright. Not sure how "well" they're doing but they're moving around somewhat.
