is my betta sick?

hi everyone, the betta taht is the father of my current spawn seems to be doing not so well and that woudl amke me realyl sad because he's by far my favorite fish.

I *think* he might have popeye but i'm not sure. There seems to be some white lining around the edges of his eyes. HIs eyes have always been that dark and black, so the white really stood out. there's also this black fuzzy stuff, almostl ooks liek really small thread on him and around the tank. i'm not sure waht it could be. His colro also seems to be changign (he's a marble though). So i'm not sure if he's just goign through oen of his color cahnging phase

yes it sounds like popeye, u shoul treat him with salt and melafix + water changes i hope he revovers

is popeye cuased by a bacteria or a fungas?

It's actually most often caused by fluids building up in the head behind the eye, as a result of something else that is the underlying problem. Sometimes a bacterial infections, sometimes parasites, and sometimes poor water quality. Keep his water extra extra clean, and I'd suggest treating with Melafix and salt also, if that's all you have. Unless you'd like recommendations for another med??
