French betta? :S ???

Are ghost shrimp a good companion to bettas?

Almost always? Well then.. Captain Morgan's the exception! lol He's in a 2.5 with one ghost shrimp, and they play together. Shrimpy will take a ride on the filter current, Captain Morgan will follow him on the current, and then they play tag around the tank. C.M. chases him sometimes, and Shrimpy chases him right back. It's so cute.. (Oh, and C.M. isn't chasing him to eat him either. He flares at his food. Like my boyfriend's betta.. though.. Bonzai flares at everything, really.)

well in most cases ghost shrimp are dead before they hit the water but a snail, that snail lived in a female betta community for months and never had trouble until my boy got ahole of him -_- i heard on here somewhere snails were safe -_-

I could swear that I saw in another section, relating to Itty Bitty Betta's 2.5 planted betta tank, that she had a snail infestation and just smashed them on the glass for her betta to eat after she had held one in a pair of tweezers to see if he'd eat it. ..He sucked it right out of the shell, I believe.

But the question is....is it GOOD for betta's to eat snails? lol

If it is..and snails seem to be so easy to have a problem with..would that be a viable live food source, for them to hunt/kill/eat as well?
