Hi

Just wondered if calaurpa prolifica & red mexicana (excuse spelling, can't be bothered to check  ) is OK with corals. My Xenia has been lethargic and shrivelled for six days now, and I'm trying to figure out what I may have done. I've added some shells for the hermit crabs, but the LFS swears they weren't treated and I put in some plants. This poor thing has been up & down since starting stocking (things keep having to be changed). I now know they're hardy, so I'm trying not to panic but my water parameters are bang on and he was nice & happy until a day or so after the plants went in.

Having done a search I can't find anything that talks about putting plants in a reef tnak. Plenty for sumps/refugiums etc. This makes me think I may have performed a basic error.

Can anyone put my mind at rest?

Thanks

Ignore this thread.... I just did a home test and my ammonia levels are high - that'll be the problem - so much for free water testing at my lfs!! glad I bought the home kit now!!

I would seriously consider finding a new LFS if they cant even test for Ammonia correctly, are you sure YOUR tests are accurate?
