Is it worth it?

nah ;) id give em to someone in the local aquarium society
I wouldnt buy more. Giving your present fish away and emptying your aquariums is probably the best option unless the person house sitting is used to doing fish and tank maintenance.

I guess that may be an option. See if they can do WC.
Surgery? What kind of surgery?

I would not buy anymore, if fish care becomes a problem in the future you are just adding to it. Just like I am starting to worry about what to do with all my tetras as I work to patch a leak in my big tank. It would be a lot easier with 30 soft water fish instead of 50.

I wouldn't buy any more. It would just make the rehoming process harder.
Good luck with your surgery! I hope everything goes well.

Is it worth buying more fish if you may have to sell them all in 3 months? Lol.

I need to increase my rummynose numbers and get some more betta pugnax. I'd also like some micro rasboras or something as dithers for my dimidiata. I just cant decide if it would be worth it...
"I need" or I want? That is the question

I agree with the majority....
It's better not to buy anymore...

But if I were in your shoes, probably I will buy just for the thrill and fun of seeing them and have experience of them for once...

I feel that we are just a temporal keeper of them and we don't own them. LOL
It's like leasing a car or like borrowing some VCRs/DVDs from a shop where they used to do it in the past...

But don't follow my way... LOL
