Formalin, alcohol (rubbing)... Never heard of keeping them in glycerin, but I suppose it's possible. I have a "collection" of "dead things in jars". None of them were killed to put in the jars. They all died for other reasons, and then I put them in jars. (Yeah, I know, I'm weird. I'm a pre-vet student though...<shrugs>).

Nothing wrong with that, but killing something for the main purpose of being an ornament is digusting and wrong!!! IMO. :sly: :grr:

of course its wrong to kill any living thing for no reason.
how can anyone be that sick as to kill for laughs.?

Reminds me of the last dodo - some guy killed it so he could stuff it, since it was rare. Not that one dodo would have made much of an impact - he could hardly divide like an amoeba!

Geez. What about the lorax and the truffula trees and the swomee swans? Killing things just so you can keep them as ornaments is a bizarre thing to do and very representative of the self-involved nature of so many humans.
