Is It Still Ok To Paint?

Hello, I have drilled my intake and return on my 75 gallon aquarium, I just want to know, is it still ok to paint my back wall of my tank? Can I just tape everywhere preventing anything from coming inside my tank? Also, do I have to prime anything? Or do I just spray it on? Thanks. Lou.

i wouldnt spray it, i used a foam gloss roller with some tile paint. Fitted the tank connector then painted round it so none got in the tank

its perfectly fine to spray. make sure you let it dry completely before filling

But messy and smellier if doing it inside.

seems like theres a pretty easy answer to that
besides, you shouldnt be painting in the house at all due to the fumes.

not to mention its much easier to spray , and you get a great result.
