Was thinking of getting a glass bowl, they sell in lfs for a betta. I want to keep it in my bathroom. Is this safe, with the heat from showers and baths. I have a corner on my large counter in bathroom that would be a great place to put betta. Would look very nice, but not sure. Does anyone else have a betta in their bathroom.

I would say no due to temperature variation and also due to the possibility of chemicals / bacteria from water droplets / steam (such as when you flush the loo without the lid down or just take a bath with salts / bubble bath etc) getting into the water Whilst I don't know your precise circumstances, it doesn't sound that great an idea.

Most people will probably tell you it's not a great idea, but honestly, bettas aren't made of glass. Personally, I don't think it would hurt anything; I've had bettas in the bathroom before.

I do agree with Synirr. Even until now I still have a Betta in the bathroom and his been there for 2 years. He's healthy and the only thing I worry about is he always stare at me whenever I'm taking a bath :p

Is taht because you think he might tell your mates?
I have never kept betta's but i have two 22Ltr currentlycycling so should be ready very soon!

What do you think of this after your "Shower Soothers" fiasco?

I would actually think the humidity from the shower would be beneficial.

Just don't use Shower Soothers, I'd say :p
