I have a Eclipse 6-gallon with a betta in it! I was wondering if any kind of plant would do well in it? I know it's not a lot of lighting... but I really wanted a live plant! :fun:

all i can think of right now would be a java fern-they are low light plants good for bettas:)

An anubia var. nana, tied on a small piece of wood or rock, would fit nice in your tank ;)

You can get quiet a few "low lighting plants" for your aquarium that dont need lots of light.... Bettas like floating plants like Java Fern, Java Moss and Riccia (becareful of riccia in too much light like a window sill i have never seen algea grow so fast), and then there are some plants sold in bunches or potted, all you do is go to your LFS and see what they have and buy one bunch and test it out if it survives for a while then buy some more.... REAL plants are not that expensive in fact they are cheaper than FAKE ones.

Just curious.. Since I'm not familiar with live plants in fish tanks (and i want to beee), do some plants release a bit of acid into the water?
