i have seen this, i talk about breeding my fihs all the time and i am this november, i have thoght about all of the above and am positive i can make it happen. people talk about breeding and dont say much about what they'er going to do wit all the babys but that don't mean they have no idea what their doin. all u can do is help them

you know, there is always a first time for everything right? including breeding bettas...nobody here was born with the experience, there was a first time for all the old experst too.
NOt saying that i encourage inrresponsible breeding of the fish..but a few months ago, before i spawned any bettas, i asked tons of questions and started a lot of threads asking questiosn adn stuff, and some poeple may have thought "phffft silly girl who wants to jump inot breeding thinking it's so easy" but only the person themselves will know whether or not they can handle it. Some people will only learn the hard way, andt hen never do it again.
So basically i'm justs aying..i dont' mind the threads about breeding bettas, i awnt to help newbies who have never done it before acheive their goal, afterall, we would never know whether or not they are fully "prepared".
If you think ur up for the challenge, definteily go for it

Well I reccently posted about which I should spawn, but they are nice fish (they came from Shelia Davis from the Carolina Breeders society through Betta Pals) and I'm going very slow and planning my spawn carefully, months in advance.
I plan to sell some on Bidafish/Aquabid (I'm collecting some extra shipping containers for that) as well as donating some to the IBC betta pals program and GLBS if I can, and giving some away as gifts. I also am planning to talk to a couple LFS to see if they would be interested. I'm planning the spawn for December or January, and I started planning about a month ago... and I'm not afraid to put things on hold if I run into problems (like not being able to afford to do it CORRECTLY, etc.)
So hopefully that wasn't directed at me.)

i have only been here since may but i saw the influx of newbies in the summertime, not now.
maybe i have just learned to ignore those posts though...
all of this has already been said in julies pinned topic. i realized after trying so hard to influence people that 99% are going to do what they want. most post here thinking they will get praise. i doubt that many are actually looking for advice. they will just have to learn the hard way when thye kill all of their fish. its too bad that it has to be that way.
im sure there are plenty of people on here who breed and dont make posts about every spawn. i know i dont because many spawns are not successful. i havent had a successful spawn since before i joined this forum...
