I had hear someone mention using a hot glue gun to make plants. Has anyone actually done this or was it just and idea? I wonder if it would seep chemicals into the water. Any input would be great
I don't think hot glue would work in a tank. It would probably contaminate the water and might not hold up when submersed. The only glue to use in aquariums is silicon glue and only silicon glue that is rated for aquarium use. Any thing else would probably be bad for the fish.
I doubt if you will want to use it in your aquarium after you check out the last post on this thread that discusses using a hot glue gun for that purpose:
Here's an article that discusses anchoring plastic plants. I just thought you might find it interesting since it is related to your idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't shed much light on the hot glue question.
