Is He Sulking?

We got rid of the Pleco that was in the tank w/ our Beta... (pleco is in a larger tank now w/ some other fish)... but now the Beta is seemingly sulking... just kinda floating around- eating fine, and if you tap the glass he'll swim, but not as quickly or "spunkily" as he was before we moved the other fish. Is he lonely now? Is he just tired from his evening of weirdness? (he was going NUTS last night... jumping around, skimming the top of the water, hiding, and doing it all over again)
