Bogwood is ideal for them but you can supplement their diet with vegetables, cucumber, courgette etc

I agree with Tom.

Assuming that your catfish is a species of Panaque, Panque maccus, then its diet should be primarily wood. Vegetables can be offered, but meaty foods must be fed only very sparingly. I communicated with a scientist working on Panaque spp. and learned that premature deaths of these fish are associated with fat deposits on the internal organs caused by high protein diets. My Panaque nigrolienatus is over 10 years old and has been fed primarily on wood, lettuce, zucchini, and cucumber. You don't need to soften or boil anything, these catfish have strong teeth and if they can digest wood raw lettuce is nothing! My catfish gets catfish pellets maybe once a month.

As mine is in a large community tank most of the food is gone before he comes out of hiding even when feeding with lighs out, so it feeds mostly on cucumber, peas and letuce.
