is it ok to feed bettas bllod/blackworms from the lfs

because ive heard some people say its bad for them.


also is it ok to feed bettas raw meat, ham and liver, because thats all mine have been getting until i can buy more food :rolleyes: lol


anyway any feedabck would be great.

they should NOT be getting meat....you will end up killing them as they cannot digest it properly...every ONCE IN AWHILE it is safe to feed small amounts of beef heart, but meat is a no no....i suggest you buy some peas or something to hold the betta over until you can buy some real food...
 
Bloodworms are fine, but be careful, they can cause bloat. If you can get ahold of nothing else, feed them every other day with a few bloodworms until you can get real food.
 
If you have a reputable LFS, you can feed live bloodworms or blackworms from them. But neither should be the full diet. They need more variety than that to stay healthy.
