Is 30c Temp Alright For Most Marine Fish?

is 30C temp alright for most marine fish?
no...way too warm for your average marine, 25-26 is the most common

i am only going to have a live rock and fish aquarium, i was told alot of marines could handle 30C+ the only reason i ask this is becuase my room temp sits at 32C near were my tank is based up high!

looks like i need to invest in a chiller?

Yes a chiller or air conwould be good. Surprised you don't have air con!

Yeah should be fine I mean if there's any creatures on it they may suffer a bit but should be fine really.

Again a lot of regional variation here..but in a fish only you shpuld be fine...simply monitor your sg and replace evaporation with regular fresh water top ups...these may be frequent enough at this temp to warrant an auto top up being bought.....corals would suffer badly if subjected to this temp for pro longed periods

Yeah, MOST fish will tolerate these temps. There are always exceptions, so look/ask before you buy. As buddyboy said, MANY corals (especially hard corals) will NOT tolerate these temps

Well, that's a tough one man. In australia I'll ASSUME your humidity is rarely a problem as you guys have a lot of arid land out there. If so, I'd suggest getting the tank setup with a desk fan or something blowing on it and see how things go. Because your air is dry, you should be able to keep up with the heat of the tank through evaporation and keep it right around ambient temp. So if it doesn't drift much over 31 or 32 degrees, you won't NEED a chiller. If it does, you will need one. Just remember, if you're going to impliment a chiller, you'll have to have the chiller unit itself OUTSIDE the room the tank is in. Cause if it's in the same room, it's just going to pump a lot of ambient heat back into the room and be very inefficient. If you can't locate it outside the room of the tank, a window mount thermostat controlled airconditioner would be MUCH more efficient from an electricity standpoint.

okay, my room temp is always at 28 to 32C up high.... i think i realy need a chiller however i am worried that it will be in a room hat is to hot.....i might have to put it in my dads shed

A room A/C runs (in the US) ~$100-150 for a small new one. You could always buy used. PLUS you benefit from that AC as well.

It'd be cheaper up front to buy a room AC and probably about the same in electricity. You won't have to sit in 30C heat anymore... I can't sleep if the temp is over like 23.5C haha.
