Just a quick question I have just started the ei method, growing plants better that I ever have before...but I have noiticed that I can't seem to keep a measurable amount of iron in the tank. I use flourish iron, but the next day it is gone...are the plants using it that quick? just keep adding it with the traces? or are iron test kits not that reliable and maybe I am putting too much in.

Thanks

First off, iron test kits are notoriously unreliable, probably the lest reliable of all of them, so forget testing for iron and let you're plants do the talking. They will tell you if they need more iron. Symptoms of iron deficiency are pale growth of new leaves, laves can become brittle and yellowing of leaves. Iron is a very important element and will get used up quickly, but EI allows for that by dosing to excess :)

I recently had an iron deficiency so doubled the trace dose and within a few weeks the plants had started to grow normally again.
