I am moving the fish in my 10 gallon to a new 20 gallon I plan on setting up. With the 10 gallon I want to make it an invertabrate tank. I don't want to have a HUGE population of snails. I have a plan for the shrimp babies. My swordtails I plan on having will eat them, and my ram will love them. What types of shrimp/ other invertabrates do you reccomend? Thank you for your help.

rock shrimp and vampire shrimp (atya gabonensis) are too big to be bothered. most snails won't be bothered either. bear in mind though, that you cannot treat with copper based meds when inverts are present

I know that. I am thinking of yellow shrimp or Cherry Shrimp. I read something on green shrimp, but I can't seem to find them. I think I will go with Cherry shrimp, what do you think?

I am just getting cherry shrimp. I am satarting out with 15 of them for my 10 gallon. It will be a few weeks, as I have to get my 20 gallon up and running, I will be using the filter cartriges I have on my 10 gallon filter in the 20 gallon to help mature it A LOT quicker.
