Hi guys,
I am a college student who has a colony of platies. I have seven girls and one boy in a heavily planted 20g tall aquarium, filled to the brim with anacharis and hornwort.
My platies names are Sonic, Daisy, Ava, Pearl, Tasha, Penny, Kennedy, and Gus. They live with all their babies, 6 otocinclus catfish, a mystery snail named Gary and a striped black and yellow nerite (give name suggestions please!)
I've been keeping fish ever since I was young, unfortunately like lots of people I used to be ignorant and couldn't give my previous fish the proper care that they deserved. Now that I am older, more experienced and have easier access to resources, I am trying my best to give my platies the best care I possibly can.
I am still learning new things about these guys everyday! Platies have grown to be my favorite fish species, I love seeing how they interact with each other and their environment.
Excited to talk with you guys on this forum and learn more about platy fish and fishkeeping as a whole!
