Introduction of new fish

Hi,

How long should i leave my tank between stocking? Is there any guidelines as i don't want to cause any stress on the fish already in there or upset the levels in the tank.

Depends on how long the tank has been set up, what's in it now and how big is it? Normally a couple of fish once a week if they're small fish. Larger fish need more time inbetween stocking.

If you're still building your stock up, a safe time to wait is about 2 wks. When I was building my tank, I'd get 2-3 small fish or 2 larger fish at a time, every 2 wks.

Yep, I go with parker313. Two weeks is the space I leave between buying and adding fish.
