Introducing ourselves

Hello,
I'm David, and my wife is Rachael... We also have a 10 month old daughter Madelin that loves our fish.
We have a 29 gal. tank, and a 55 gal.
We just lost our albino oscar "Baby" and two convicts because of a heater malfunction in our 29 gal.... They got cooked really bad.
We are pretty upset, and hope to find someone who makes a temperature alert for fish tanks. Whether it's built into the heater, or seperat. We will buy one for both tanks.
Our other tank has "Midget"... our long finned oscar that's about 3 lbs.
We also have "Piglet" a big fancy chinese catfish that I can never remember what kind it is.
Lastly, we have a 5 in. long chinese algea eater in there with them.
Anyway, It's a helluva way to introduce ourselves, but I got to get to using the search on this site to hopefully prevent this from happening agian.

Hello David and Racheal,
Welcome to this forum. That was a good introduction and there's nothing wrong with introducing yourselves that way. In fact we now know what you like and what your family are like and the types of fish you like to keep. No problem.
There is a company that does an electronic temp.alert, I'll try as find out who, if you don't get an answer from my colleagues first.
No question gets left unanswered for too long in here.
