Introducing my new Canadian Betta!

Recently I went to Canada to drop one of my dogs off with a handler for some dog shows. And while we were there we had to go to Wal*Mart Canada.... I promise I didn't know they had a fish section! I was walking around, checking all the different things out when I came upon the fish, I was poking around at the betta's and was depressed to see they are kept in even smaller cups in Canada than in the US, but besides that they looked fine. So, I moved down the asile when something caught my eye. It was a betta cup, put with the dog food, so I swear my only intention was to put him back with the betta's. But, that didn't happen. Sooooo... introducing my new Mustard Gas VT boy, who still is nameless.

I don't dare poke around the cups. I would spend hours deciding which five to take home and then three more hours getting tanks.

lol I came >---< close to buying another betta last night myself at....Wallllmart . I know all to well how hard it is to pass them up. Mine was a purple though..light purple body with a dark purple head...he was pretty...as is your new addition lol. MG is one of my fav patterns in a betta...so good choice!

Cute boy! I'd name him Iams or Kibble or something else dog food-esque. haha But that's because I'm a dork and I always name my fish in ways like that.

I'm so glad my Wal Mart doesn't sell fish... I'd be in big trouble

He's gorgeous Yeah they're kept in teeny weeny cups here, but they're changed often, which is a plus. Whereabouts were you in Canada? Ontario or even farther West, I'd guess, since the only upcoming show in this area is in NB and it's not until the 24/25 Sept . . .

ETA: Although, since you said 'recently' I suppose the show could already be over )

I know there was a big show just in Belleville either last weekend or weekend before last, can't quite remember....

I think your betta is very handsome!! I never see any *neat* or *unusual* bettas when I got to WM. But not all the WM's here have bettas.

got 30 dollars for making all A's on my progress report, so I'm on my way to getting my 10 gallon betta tank. I know how you feel, every time I go to wal-mart the urge to by a thousand bettas almost overtakes me, but I got to be strong.

Thanks everybody, I think the dog food name idea, I'm going to name him Iams, because that's what he was next to.

I was in Ontario, her shows are next week... Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
