In my previous post(Previous Post), I presented the Cup-Pictures of my new boys. Tonight, after 24 hours of being in their tanks, I'm here to officially present my two new boys and my new little lady. The two boys are both in need of names. I'm still debating on them, so any suggestions are welcomed!

The lady, also in need of a name, needs a name that either starts with an S or a C. This is because my entire girls tank is named on that pattern (I already have: Scrappy, Scarlet, Sasha, Cara, Carmen, Callie).

I apologize that the pictures of the lady suck. She is VERY adept at hiding. I had her in a breeder box floating around and had intended to keep her there for a week or so so that the other girls got used to her before I released her. Instead, last night, she jumped out of the box and joined everyone else. Despite them all fighting, she's remained rather unscathed. Not a single rip or tear in her gorgeous little fins. She's a speedy little chicka.

The Man Cave (male tank) is in dire need of some more plants. It's planted at the moment with scraps from the girls tank. I'm gonna take a trip to Petsmart later this week and pick up a couple more crypts to plant in this tank and fill it up a little more.

Male Number 1 was initally described to me as "Irridescent Opaque", but he's showing marbling on his body too, so I don't know. I just know he's pretty. His tail is like a rainbow when he swims. Different angles give different colour.

Male Number 2 was initially described to me as a "Mustard Gas", which I still think he is. He's got a bit of fin rot (you can see it where the anal fin meets the tail, there's a chunk missing), and I've started treating with melafix and pimafix to prevent a fungal infection, the water already has salt in it, and I'm gonna keep it clean enough that I shouldn't need any heavy medications.

AND NOW...
THE PICTURES!

Sorority Tank: Now you know why it was so hard to find her. Once they get into the Hygrophila, I can barely see them!

New Lady Betta: Definitely a VeilTail

The Frequent Flare Wars: Hopefully these will die off in a few weeks

Male Numero 1: Would this be a Super Delta? Or a Delta? I highly doubt he's a Half-Moon

Male Numero 2: Would this be a Delta? or a Super Delta?... I'm thinking Delta.

Name suggestions are appreciated.

:). The female turned out to be a gorgeous steel-blue colour. None of the bettas have names yet. The female is definitely the smallest in my sorority.

Still not positive on the tail-types on the boys, but Betta 1 definitely gets more tail spread than Betta 2. I swear I got the two extremes of personality with those two. The mustard-gas is always out, flaring at EVERYTHING, and is quite the little poser for the camera. The irridescent betta hides behind the heater whenever I walk into the room and only swims around when he -thinks- I'm not paying attention.

All three are eating now, which I'm very thankful for. The female was sharing the driftwood cave with my cories for a while, and wasn't coming out to eat with the rest of the girls. Yesterday she finally came out to swim in the open with everyone else, but she still retreats to the mid-bottom level to eat; though I suspect that this is because one of my girls, Sasha, was exceptionally irritable yesterday was was attacking everyone. Last night, before i went to bed, she was sharing one of the terracotta pots with my largest female. She's very very placid in comparison to some of my girls. I bet she'd make a good community centerpiece. Her colouring is as vibrant as any male betta with the same colouring I've ever seen! :)

Hy,I'm new here, so please help me accomodate.
I do have 2 Bettas, 1 male and 1 female and I've easely chose their names, so maybe we'll do this together. So, I'll write some names I like and you will choose something for your girls and maybe for your boys too:
Carrie, Sissi, Claude, Summer, Sammie (for one of your girls), Colin, Sally, Sandy.......
Good luck! :good:

Thanks!.. Actually; the two boys got their names last night.

The Irridescent Opaque is called Artemis; Art for short.
The Mustard Gas is called Poseidon; Possie for short.

The little lady still doesn't have a name.

She can get one. Does not like you any name of those?

@Tulipa
None fitted her personality. All of my girls ae named after someone or something or a behaviour characteristic:

Scrappy: Fought, with EVERYONE, when I first added her to the tank. Her fins were in shreds within a span of a few hours.
Sasha: really oblivious to everything and everyone in the tank when I added her, she just sashayed around like nothing mattered except exploring
Scarlet: Flounced around showing herself off
Cara: Named after the Mord-Sith from Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series; she's always been tough, doesn't take anything from anyone, but isn't aggressive like Scrappy was.
Carmen: Named after a friend of mine from high school; very passive, doesn't really pay much attention to anything or anyone, target for bullying due to her passive nature, but she fights back when things get too intense.
Callie: Named after my favourite character from Grey's Anatomy. I just loved this name to be honest, and it just seemed to "fit" her.

The new girl, who was unnamed until last night, has finally received her name.

We, (my housemates and I), sat brainstorming last night. She tends to hide, very well, and very often. Not because she's stressed, but just because she appears to like discovering new places to sneak into in the tank. Because of this behaviour, we have called her Cache, pronounced like cash, which is another name for a "hiding place".
