How many gallons is the tank please?
How many fish and which type?
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The old platys are just showing the new platys who boss.
How many females to do you have to males?

My tank is 30L,(not sure about gallons), i had my water tested today and the guy said the levels are good, sorry i cant remember the numbers, just 3 Platies are in the tank, 2 male 1 female
Thanks

IMO it's normal. They will settle in few days.
One of my platy does flicking thing when she gets stress(new tank mates or change water..) but only 2-3 times flucking and stop.
If your old ones keep flicking, may need to keep your eyes on. Sometimes new fishes can bring bad bacteria or something.

Platy breed so easy if you know.. (you will have hundreads of baby platy in a year) usually 1 male with 2-3 females or same sex is better balance for them.
30L is little less than 10g. I know people say one inch = one gallon rule but i believe not always right. Some fishes just need more space even though they are small.. Some fishes are big but sometimes they don't need so much extra space. IME platy loves swimming fast & very active. They need big space otherwise they may show stress & start being mean each others.

i agree, ive got 3 in a 20L, bad i know, but i didnt when i got them, upgrading to a 3ft 90L tomorrow for them as the one has started to fight with the other :(

The petshop told me i could have more if i wanted to! (im glad i didnt after reading this) They seem to have settled in ok now but my female (Dorris) is pregnant! Thanks for your answers, got to go and get a breading tank now for when she is ready to give birth xx
