Well I've been using/repairing this filter (from new) for about 4months

The seal was a little too good, and when trying to prise the lid off, I cracked the lower 'bucket' which meant it started letting air in - or water out, once you unplug the power

After several failed attempts with glue and plastic-welding to completely seal it (and a few more cracks along the way) I've decided to give up and get a filter that fits in my cabinet.

note - the EPF250 is at least 23cm at it's narrowest point

I'm confident this will repair (properly) very easily, I've just been struggling to get it done within the 2hr window before my bacteria start to die-off .... as as mentioned, it doesn't fit in the cabinet anyway

To reduce the amount of air getting in, I've submerged the pump in a bucket of water - which has got under the tape - but this side is just a single crack which I've drawn in red

Come complete with everything you'd get new as I plan to swap the bio-media with whatever comes with my new TetraTec filter - I'll rinse the sponges.

£ OFFERS (can post at cost)

Also have about a year's supply of carbon and various other filters/foams which I was going to stick on eBay, but make me an offer and you could have these too

The EPF250 only takes two foams at a time, so you can mix n' match either coarse, medium or fine foams to suit
I have -
4 coarse foams
4 medium foams
4 fine foams
6 bags of carbon (6-8wks ea.) and 18 felt pads remaining
In all, well over £100 worth of media

oh... and the hoses are approx. 28" & 29"

there's a spray-bar in three 9cm bayonet-locking sections, plus three other solid 9cm pipes, a flowcontrol valve, deflector nozzel, inlet strainer (which is adjustable so small fish can't get in) and 4 suction mounted clips for the pipework

...plus an offcut of flexible hosing which is about a foot an' a half long :p
