Hey there,

about to start using said med and just want t know.....

instructions for treatment say to "remove carbon & zeolite filter media from aquarium" what exactly is this???

can i use the treatment if feeding medicated foods??

Thanks :)

I don't know about whether you can use it in conjunction with medicated foods - what are you treating for with each med? Usualy meds say in the instructions that they cannot be used with similar products or meds that treat the same thing.

Carbon is the black stuff you may have in your filter. If you have had your tank set up for 2 months or more and have not replaced the carbon in your filter (if there was any to begin with), don't worry about this as carbon stops working after a few weeks anyway.

Personaly, I never use carbon. It can be used to remove meds from the water after treatment but most are biodegradable anyway so they break down and water changes remove the rest.

hi,

tank has been running for 4 months now and i have not replaced it. (juewl aqaurium).

i had possible Septicaemia in tank 1 fish died, my ryukin has suspected ulcer and fantail has torn fin. have been feeding medi gold for 7 days now but was recomended to use above treatment.

Well don't worry about the carbon but I'm not familiar with what those meds each say they treat - if it's for the same thing you'll need to make a choice between the two.

okay - thanks. wont do anyting immediatly. will investigate more in to interpet med.

Thanks. :)
