Internal To External (Fluval 205 / 206)

Hey,

I've got a 110L / 29 Gal tank which came with an Internal InterPet filter.

I've been advised by a few people to change it as they are unreliable and just generally not very effective.

I'm looking at the Fluval 206 from SeaPets - http/www.seapets.c...filter-206.html or the Fluval 205.

If anyone can help with what the differences between the 205 and 206 are that would be great (seems to be around a £20 price difference).

206 is the newer version of the 205 there was a 204 before it. It's just hardware revisions and as far as I can see there is no functional difference between 205 and 206.

So as Tom put it; the difference is £20

Thanks - managed to find a cheap 205 in my LFS so went with that in the end!

They're nice filters, just a bit small for media. But for a 110 it will be great. I used to run a 180 with one.

I am curently running a 180 litre with a 205 with no reportable problems.

I had no problems, but had the opportunity to upgrade so i did. I now run a TetraTEC ex1200 and a Fluval 305 on that tank. The 205 is in the cupboard. lol.
