I'm just about to custom build and set up a 100 litre aquarium and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on filters to use. I was thinking internal or HOB.

I saw the Eheim pickup 2010 but I haven't used it before so I'm weary of buying it.

All suggestions and recommendations welcome :D

Thanks, TheAquariumGuy

Or look at Eheim Biopower filters. The 200 would be the one for 100 litres. or if you are likely to upgrade, get the bigger one.

I have had the Fluval U2 as well, a good filter, does exactly what it says. Easy access for maintenance. 3 flow options. Prices not too bad.

Slightly bulky though but if you don't mind that, then thats a solid filter to get.

I also have a Marina HOB, not that great but does the job, the filter media that comes with that in the box is pretty much rubbish IMO, i swapped that media for ceramic media and also sponge media, works very well, again, could not be simpler to maintain and clean, flow not too bad, not bad for the money.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have looked in depth at the eheim 2010 and it looks like it fits the bill perfectly
