I'm in the UK.
Has anyone got any experience of internal filters that max out on media volume/capacity. I've not seen many. The emphasis seems to be on how fast they can turnover the water. I know that it's usually recommended to go for an external once you get to the certain size tank. However, I have not got a tank size in mind, a general question. As we know, most internal filters, even one's rated for larger tanks are quite slim. I appreciate the bigger the internal filter in size, the bigger the argument to get an external, but I am curious.
Also, either a combined or separate ask for advice. Internal filters with a good flow rate adjuster. Any one got any good experience? I find some of the internals rated for larger tanks have no adjuster, turning the tank into a freshly serviced Jacuzzi. Great for fish from fast flowing streams that like higher oxygen levels, not so great for everyone else.
