Internal Filter Or External?

I went to one of my lfs today and asked if my jewel filter was good enough. The answer- NO. The helpful worker recommended a Eheim classic 2213, he said this is good enough, but, should i buy this filter for £60 or buy a smaller internal filter for around £20-35?

Any of your comments are welcomed e.g. the filters you have and reccomendations will also be taken gratefully. thanks

In general, no one wants to put a filter INERNALLY in a nano tank...not enough room. SH
