Hi all....

I have been running a Fluval Plus2 pump for a couple of years now. It has always struggled to maintain a good flow for more than a few days before clogging up.

I have 110ltr tank and have recently bought a new Fluval Plus3.

My question is how to introduce a "new" pump into an existing tank that gives me very little trouble at all.

Look forward to your thoughts

Regards

Jon :)

Hi Jon,

Just assemble your new pump, as described in the 'destructions', and add it to your tank, keeping your old one running in the tank. Leave it for about three weeks, and you should have a bacterial colony capable of looking after your tank. You can add a little bacterial supplement aswell if you like. Then remove the old filter, and there you have it. Job done! :D

Cheers, sub.

If you could put somr of the old media in the new filter...... it would "mature" much faster
