I am not sure how to even explain this in a post.

the inside walls of my tank has a slime coating on it. The glass doesn't look clear. It makes the water look like it is slightly cloudy. But the water in reality is clear. Does this make sense?
What I am asking is, how do I clean the inside of the tanks glass without taking down the aquarium. I don't want it to cycle again.

sorry, I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance!!

It totally makes sense!

I use a "sponge on a stick" to clean the inside of the tank walls. You should be able to find such a device at your lfs. If not, just take a small sponge and stick your arm in and clean away!!

Make sure the sponge is new, and thoroughly rinsed out... many commercial sponges contain detergents which will be bad for your fishies.

:)

well, i just open the cover..and i used a sponge..but i dont think thats the best way to do it, it got the job done, you could also get one of the magnet cleaners if you dont want to put your hand in the water

It sounds like you have bacteria and algea growing on the inside glass wall. I have that real bad in my goldfish tank (algea sound wrong because it's not really green). I use the 'fish' sponge and hand method-works well and is cheep :)
Be careful with CLR if what you have is not bacteria but lime or something of the like. CLR, as with any chemical, can really hurt your fish. If you end up using CLR you will have to strip down your tank and do a thorough rinse when you are done.

Just about every store that sells fish will have a sponge brush and you can just wipe of the sides of your tank without changing water or removing fish.

:fish: sponge on the end of your arm, sponge on a stick ,floating magnetic algae cleaner, magnetic algae cleaner, really strong kitchen roll, a small bristlenose plec, the list is endless. :D
Stay away from chemicals though, they can kill all your fish
