Hi,
I'm going to purchase the above inkbird temperature controller, my tank heater is a Aqua heater pro 200W with LCD temperature display, and external thermostat control, anyone who has an inkbird, do you think it would work with this type of heater?

Yes it will. Calibrate the heater using a thermometer to a slightly higher temp than you need. Eg if you need 25 set the heater to 26 and the INKBIRD to 25. IMO that gives the best safety and ensures that the heater is only controlled by the INKBIRD unless it fails.

Thanks for that, as you can tell I'm useless at modern technology I don't know why I bother buying these, the temp I like is 24.0 C so I will set the heater at at 25 and the inkbird at 24, what would be good other settings, I set the both the HD and CD at 1.0 C, but it's the AH and Al that I find a problem, I tried to set the AH at 28C and the AL at 20C but it won't let me, so I take I'm doing something wrong, could you please provide me with settings using 24.0C as my TS.

Yes it is (Alarm Low & Alarm High).
TBH I have not set up the phone app. If its the wireless one I once got a false alarm while away from home over Christmas. When it goes into an alarm state it cuts the power. Another member here got similar and the supplier said the wireless ones do that sometimes. So I connected it to a smart plug and turn it off for 5 mins every 6 hours. When it does go into an alarm state the only way to reset is to turn off the power. No issues since I have had the smart plug - I figured the fish will always be fine if they have to do without heating for 6 hours. When it did happen I had the phone app and iirc it took around 30 hours to drop to 20 at which point I called a neighbour.
I also have several non wi-fi ones. These are pretty bullet proof.

Okay this will be my last post on this subject, on my inkbird itc 308, I still think my targets are wrong, the temperature I'm wanting is 24.0C, my juwel temperature tank reading is 24.9.
PV current temperature is 24.0C
SV displays target temperature is 25.2 C heater was set at 25.0C and inkbird at 24.0C.
TS 24.0C
HD 10 C
CD 10 C
AH 28.0C
AL-30.0 C
PT 0
CA C.
If someone can fix these readings for me I would very much appreciate it.

My controllers are all the 306 series so this is just a best guess at what those mean. 306 is heating only and 308 is heating and cooling.
TS = Target Temp (DS1 on the 306)
HD = Heating differnce
CD = Cooling difference (I'm guessing here 306 has DS which is difference setting). These should mean how far the temperature is allowed to drift before the circuit comes on. If I set mine at 0.5 for a temp of 24 that means when the heater turns off at 24 it will not come back on till the temp drops to 23.5. This is to stop the heater from turning on and off every few minutes to try to keep the temp exact. Set based on how sensitive your fish are to change. I would set them both at the same value - mine is between 0.5 and 2 depending on the tank. I suspect that in Scotland you won't have a water cooler attached anyway.

AH & AL should be alarm high and low. If the alarm is triggered you get a loud (very annoying) continuous beep from the unit and, if configured, an alert to your phone. Here in the Southeast I would choose higher than 28 because my tanks get warmer than that in midsummer without heating. -30 is definitley too low because by the time you got that alert your fish would be deep frozen. I use 20 because I won't lose any fish if it drops that low for a short period but I am sure there is a problem and I need to take action.

CA is for calibration. Should not be neccessary and mine are all unset - its worth using a trusted thermometer to verify.
PT - no idea, mine don't have this.
Edit: Just found this on the Amazon description
