LOL!!!!  !! You bet they would eat them!! I don't know about the snails...but the ghost shrimp will be a delicasy!! Cichlids love shrimp!! Its like a fav. food for my C. and S. American cichlids. Snails should be alright as long as they can't swallow the whole thing, shell and all! Hope that helps a bit!

They will definately eat shrimp , and if the snails are small their shell can be cracked they will be eaten too . I'm not sure but they may swallow small snails whole .

ghost shrimp as food and ramshorn snails as tank mates
If convicts have fry will they kill a snail

Honestly , I don't know . I have had mated pairs of convicts [ not with snails as tank mates] and they definetly don't want anything around while spawning , as far as fry , by the time they hatched I'd aready removed what needed removing , if you know what I mean . For their size they are one tough fish .

How big is your tank ? If it's big enough you may be o.k. If the snail is big enough he may be able to get close enough to eat the fishes eggs .Like I said I can't say for sure . Maybe someone else can say for sure . good luck .

Thanks but one more Q. Can i keep ghost shrimp in a breeding net or will the climb out? Ill probably put em in my community tank and take them out for feeding.
