Info please

Hi,

Could anyone give me a link or information on those ghost night fish (i think thats what they are called) i seen them in the pet shop, but thought i better read up before purchasing.
They are the black eel looking things that look like they have a peice of wire going along there fins.

Look into brown ghost knife fish too they stay smaller.

I have a gold sevrum and angels in my tank the sevrums a cichlid right? Says in that article that it would harrass the crap out of the ghost knife!
hmm lucky i didn't purchase it then!

I have a 5 inch Black Ghost Knife in with 2 3.5 inch Green Severums. I've never once seen a fin nipped or anyone chased (except the Sevs toward each other a little). Severums are some of the mildest Cichlids available. I think it would be a safe mix.

safe perhaps, but please note how knife fish can reach over a foot in length. they also are sensitive to water conditions and can be picky eaters.
