smallest sp. of gn (there are at least 3) will reach 7 inches, largest will reach 14-15 but in home aquaria grow slowly as 99.9% of them do not replicate their natural environment properly.
So apply the 4x length and 2x width/height for tank size imo if housing an adult fish.
breeding has been done by Larry Vires, there are accounts of it on PC but that is down at the moment as they are changing server/host
