My male guppy constantly swims up and down the back of the aquarium in the same spot. The aquarium has a black background but none of the other fish do this. There is another guppy in the tank as well but she behaves normally and just leaves him to it :fun:

What could be causing him to do this or has he just a screw loose  :hyper: :fun:

I've had several fish to do that. I believe its just normal fish behavior.

He probably is inbred, that happens a lot with guppies in captivity. However, I don't know whether or not that would contribute to his swimming up and down in one place. :)

 i love fish

sorry thats ment to say i just lost 3 male guppies

Normally fish only do that if something is changed in their aquarium, but to some it is in their nature. Maybe he wont look as stupid doing that often if you put a bubble wall there
