In Honor of TFF return

I thought since my favorite forum has returned I should celebrate so I bought a new Betta tank tonight.

It is one of those 1 gal. triangle jobs with a filter and light. I didn't bother to take the filter and pump out of the bag but I bought a black and white stone sculpture for it and have left over black gravel. Going for the retro look B)

Sooooooo, this weekend I will be searching my fair city for another crowntail or a nice deep red for this tank. If it has the nice simple look I'm going for I think I will add a second tank next to it.

Does this mean I'm getting bit by the betta bug?

Yup, you sound like the betta bug gotcha! When you see any occasion as a reason to celebrate by buying a new betta...you're hooked!

There's no cause for alarm unless you find yourself with bettas swimming in your mixing bowls & you're flaring at yourself in the mirror when you comb your hair

Too kewl FanOFish... sounds like you got a tank like mine. Mine's an aquaview that I got from Walmart. I tried the filter the first 2 night but quickly got rid of it because I found that it was cooling the water at night too fast. I'd wake up and the water was chilly!
I have my little guy at my computer desk where we can enjoy each other's company almost all day long.... oops did I just reveal something about my habits?

Yep, that's the tank except Walmart was out and I had to pay an additional whole $1 at Petsmart.....

But the good news is they have some great looking angel fish just the size I'm looking for....so I found a home for my rogue pearl gourami and will be replacing him this weekend with probably 3 small angels.
