i've been telling her it's probably something else, but i dont know how this could have happened.

so, this is quite odd, i've had this 1 guppy for 2 months now, there was a few others, all female, the others died but she survived. she then gave birth to about 40 a month ago.

now the strange part comes, she hasnt had a male in the tank for atleast 2, there are only the fry in there with her that are a month old, and she's just dropped another load of fry.

so how's that possibly??

The females are able to store the males sperm for quite sometime so they can still fertilise eggs a few months down the road. Congrats on your fry.

..generally for around 5-6 months, but it is always better to have new sperm for breeding.
