Ime Going To Set Up A Mantis Tank

This afternoon ime going to my LFS and will be buying all that i need to set up the tank for the mantis shrimp.

Things ill be getting are as follows.

Tank obviously which comes with filter system in the back and light built into the hood, and heater aswell.
Live sand for the base
about 4 or 5 kg of liverock

I have all the salt, calcium etc alrady at home for my other marine tank but if there is anything you can think i would need please let me know.

Once i have the tank up and running ime guessing its the same thing as for letting it cycle for a week or 2 before adding the mantis???

Yup. I'd put a sacrificial piece of acrylic on the bottom before you lay rocks/sand just in case it tries to dig through the bottom

o fudge it.....i hate getting carried away i didnt even think about a sacrificial piece of acrylic. looks like everything is coming out i guess and that ime not looking forward 2.
