hi all
ive been tryin for 3 days now to breed my bettas the female is ready and follows the male the male swims about leading her everywhere BUT he just will NOT build a nest why is this ive tryed puttin in another betta nest but that dont work and the bubbles pop
any help would be great thanks

id remove the the female for a day but leave the male there, then put her back in a vase and see what happens. he should be like " what the heck " and then decide that hes gotta build a nest to keep her around.

Remove the female. Let the male flare at another male, or even a mirror if no male is available. A day or 2 of this might help. Some males will not spawn, as some females will not either.

thanks for that but i gave up with the male and used his dad, put him in and hour later a nest was built let the female out because she wanted to go with him and they are spawning right now

just another question if i want to breed my other male hes a dt with a normal female what would i get?

assuming that your female done'st carry the DT geno, you should get 100% normal tails carrying the DT gene.
