i'm thinking of getting a new tank

I have an Eclipse 6, though I don't keep bettas in it. One thing I love is that it's VERY quiet. I don't know about the 2 or 3, but the bio wheel in the 6 gallon doesn't disturb the water surface very much either, so I would think it would be good for a betta.

I have this same tank as well, with a Green Spotted Puffer in it (juvenille). The current is a bit strong for a betta I would say, just where the water comes out. My GSP get's thrown half way down the tank when he goes by it. You could still get this tank, but you would have to put something where the water comes out to slow the current down.

I use a ten gallon Five Plan tank. Most of you might not know Five Plan because it's Japanese. But in this case, you should probably get an Eclipse 3. :dunno:

Forget an eclipse system. They're expensive. If your just goin' to keep a betta, go to Wal-Mart, buy a 10 gallon tank, that whisper 2-5i internal filter, betta food, a small terrocotta pot and a plant, and spend about 30 bucks doin so.

I'll show you my betta setups. I'll go snag some shots.

I also made my own hoods outs of glass and have a lamp sitting next to my tanks.

I don't recommend an incandescent hood and leaving it on for a while. They put off a lot of heat and they raise the water temperature drastically. Atleast for me anyways.
